Hi guys was hoping you guys could look through my logs, and possibly give me some advice with my timing issues.

I recently purchased my Supra, bought it used from dealer 26k miles.

Installed catless DP, CTS CP, Armaspeed intake, BM3 tune last week. BM3 Flex fuel kit is awaiting shipment.

Ran the stage 2 91 map, e25 blend to compensate for Arizona gas, timing was all over the place.

Changed plugs today, add more E, now on e30 blend. Made improvements but around 5500rpms, timing takes a dump.

I noticed in the logs I'm no longer hitting target boost and higher WGDC. So I thought possible boost leak?

I let the car cool down removed the CP, checked o-rings and reinstalled with T-bolt clamps at the coupler. Also decided to drop down to the stage 2 ACN 91 map, still no luck.

I just ordered new OEM o-rings for the CP, those arrive in a week. I also ordered the parts to run a boost leak test.

Do you guys have any other ideas? I know the IAT's are high causing some correction (Arizona ~105F ambient temps), but the timing completely dropping off at 5500 has me stumped. Other guys with that have similar high WGDC issues still retain their timing while mine takes a dump.

Thanks in advance!

Not a Corvette.
Those IAT's are for sure taking some of that timing out. However, your timing should still be better than that on a E30 blend. The target psi in the upper range you will never hit as the stock turbo can't flow that much up there.

Do you still have the OEM charge pipe? I would put that back on and see. You don't need it upgraded at this level anyway. I know some of the aftermarket charge pipes are weird with the o-ring seals.

I do still have the OEM Charge pipe and thought about installing that to see if it makes a difference. I also bought piping+inlet to utilize the OEM air box in hopes to bring down the IAT.

As for timing, the numbers are cherry up until 5500 and then it goes haywire. Sure, high IAT has some cause in it, but we can see that the numbers begin to get choppy as soon as we see an increase with the waste gate usage. I spent a lot of time looking at other people's data and those that are also experiencing high IATs, aren't losing THAT much timing + their WGDC % never reaches anywhere near the high 90s and I wonder to why that is.

I'll install the oem charge pipe and air box later this week. Hopefully everything runs fine, if not, I'm wondering what else it can be? Electrical?

Probably the dramatic IAT has something to do with it or it’s a fuel issue or the charge pipe could just be leaking. Maybe a custom tune is needed also. BM3 OTS tunes are a little choppy I’ve heard in comparison to MHD OTS maps.

Step one is definitely installing the factory chargepipe.

Yeah definitely going to start with the charge pipe. Fingers crossed that its something minor as that.
