All Supras are inline 6s. Just not BMW inline 6s and the carbon roof looks sick. It matches the rear spoiler perfectly but hate on haters. LOL

Mid 70’s is probably about right to be honest.
No one is giving these things away.
The dealer I got mine from had one of these in an auto with 2500mi on it and asking was 80k.
It’s not really about what I would pay for one, it’s about what someone else will pay.

I don’t get the whole hitting the head thing though.
I read that everywhere before I got a Supra and was convinced it must be a real issue.
I’m 6’ and not exactly super agile but in the 2 months I have had it I have never once bumped my head or even grazed it.
Unless you are really tall I don’t see how it’s an issue.
Maybe just doing it wrong.
If you are that tall though I think legroom would be a bigger problem lol.

GLWTS, I’m sure it will sell, there is a butt out there for every seat.

Ahh, you’re one of those people. Well, bye. Better to sell it to someone more open minded anyway.
Agreed, I don’t view the BMW thing as a negative.
I really think the car would have been worse in a lot of ways if it was pure Toyota.
The interior for sure would have been worse.
Given their current track record with some of the newer engines they have come out with there’s a good chance that would have been worse too.
It’s just not the 90’s anymore, and the B58 is a really good engine.
Arguably the best straight six currently in production.

I think the MKV got most of the best from both BMW and Toyota, and those that just want a great driving car will appreciate how good it is.

I also have a lot more confidence in the factory in Austria that built these than I would in a U.S. Toyota factory lol.

I am not a huge BMW fan, I owned an MR2 T top Turbo car, and it had that IT factor that this car is missing. I also had 3000GT and 300zx in peak 90s form. I do love them but would much rather have that feeling again. I wish I would have never sold my MR2.

Unless Toyota comes back with a newer in house design Supra with Targa that would be about the only way I would go back to a Supra. It is a great fast fun sport car, but my daily driver is a truck if that means anything to you all.

People stuck in time don't hear or want any of that. I'm a product of the "90's golden era of Japanese cars" but I also like progress and modernization (most of the time). Some people stay stuck in their ways. Perfect case study is this thread.

It’s an Auto trans.
I found it on Autotrader in Arkansas.
$75,500 listing.
https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...Code=SUPRA&searchRadius=300&clickType=listing

Seems reasonable, as an auto it’s probably mid-low 70’s.
I was looking at nationwide listings for Supras earlier.
Not very many new ones left and even the premiums are priced between $65-80k.
The MT’s are almost all 70k+.
The price of low mile used ones is also pretty high with MT’s in some cases priced at new value.

True, there are more Z4s in stock still than there are Supras.

Listen it is a great fun car, just not a true JDM car as it was co developed with BMW. It is too small for me along with the bending the head in certain ways to fit yourself in it. From my understanding Toyota and Mazda will co develop the RX7 and Supra twins. I will wait to see what they do or go up market to a Targa 4S. Anyway it is good to pass this on to someone who wants to daily drive it or is a better owner for the car.

Nothing wrong with that but honestly JDM is not really all it used to be.
The 90’s are gone and cars like that will never return unless massive amounts of regulations are removed.
If you want that feeling your best bet is look for a 90’s car in good condition but it won’t be cheap.
No new car is going to give you what you’re looking for.
But frankly once you drive one against a modern car you realize a lot of it is simply nostalgia.
Old cars really didn’t drive that great.

Next you are going to let us know the earth is flat!

How is it almost 2027, eight years after the MK5 Supras introduction, and mouth breathers are still parroting this stupid shit?

Right, I know but the Corvette and 911 all come with Targa options as does Mclaren.

I just do not understand why this car wasn't ever offered with one like they went to KCs Paint Shop in Texas to make one but that one off probably has 100k plus worth of work to it plus the car. To each their own, anyone can buy a car that they may or may not can afford. I am not judging anyone but the lack of respect here reminds me of the Nissan s13 and s14 forums or BRZ fanbois plus the WRX STI guys.

I am not wanting to buy a mid 90s Supra. I never really liked them then and they are considered the Holy Grail of the Supra line. The mk5 again is probably the best Supra made to date it just should have been developed more or made larger with a 2+2 format and a Targa. That is what the car was always meant to be. I bet they get the next generation right.
