Loose glass in trunk

I had my rear glass, broken in a few months ago, and shards of glass fell in the space between the glass panel and the frame of the trunk. I got as much as I could out before we had the glass replaced, but I guess I missed some. Now when I open the the trunk and sometimes while accelerating, you can hear the glass shards rattling around. Does anyone have any insight as to how I could open it up to get the glass out?

I'd say either replace the hatch or just embrace your new rain-noise mod.

i've lost an 8mm open end wrench and some nuts/washers in my hatch abyss when installing the base plate for my wing...i feel your pain.
thought about using a hole saw on the plastic panels for better access to retrieve them but decided to just live with it.

maybe remove the hatch and shake the damn glass pieces outta there.

Looks like you'll have to break the glass again and get in there while it's removed!

I wonder if it could count as a warranty claim have the glass company remove it, clean the broken pieces, and reinstall afterwards?
