Took a much better picture of how everything fit. Still trying to get the bezel replicated so that I can start on getting a custom boot.

What would it look like without the shift boot collar, would the boot be able to stuff underneath the shift knob?

It sits quite flush on the sides rather than tucking beneath/into it. Still looks good because it flows smoothly from the knob to the boot rather than stepping up to the collar. I'll take a picture today cuz it looks like I forgot to take one when I was doing the test fit.

Going that route will depend more on how well the oem boot was cut since any loose strings from the stitching will be more likely to come out and show. For an aftermarket boot where the leather tends to be thicker I think that the collar would be a must to help transition from the two materials but that's more of a personal preference.

I'm planning on reaching out to Sweidit to do my custom boot.

I've also been making some progress in replicating the shape of the bracket for the shift boot. Hopefully the one getting printed now makes the bottom right corner fit as it should so that I can move on to making the bracket itself.

Hey man, did you ever have any success with this?

Don't wanna hack up my stock shifter knob and boot because I despise alcantara and want it gone haha.

I still haven't been able to get the shape just right. Ends up fitting a bit off for some reason even though the outer profile seems to match up. I've also been a bit busy at work so that has held me back a bit. I did reach out to Sweidit to see if they know how to get a hold of the OEM bezel.

Awesome, I got a knob coming in for it and I hope by April-May I can just pop off the stock shift knob and boot and drive it with my setup!

Thanks for the very prompt response back.

Please let us know if Sweidit can supply boots with 3D printed bezels though!

For those that have replaced the knob - how did you remove it? I got the boot off easily enough but can't get the knob to come off. Looks like the front has a little split, tried wedging a flathead in there to release the top with no luck. I figured with some of the problems reported the knob would come off easily.

Just pull upwards. Takes a bit of effort but that’s all there is to it.

Yea I tried that, feels like I'm gonna pull the shifter assembly out rather than just the knob. You didn't have to release the black piece shown in my picture at all?

Funny how some are reporting that their shift knobs are just falling off with minimal effort and you’re having trouble pulling it off. Do you even work out, my dude?
