I just purchased MHD Universal Adapter and update its firmware. Connected to car without issue, but leaving the adapter connected to OBD2 port and locking car causes car to go into a security alarm. I must remove the MHD Universal Adapter from OBD2 port so I can lock car, Is this normal? Have others had to issue?

Email from Bimmer ECU Solutions customer support stated:
That is a normal behavior, its protective feature of BMW/Supra MKV, when it detects connection on the OBD2 port when car is locked
that feature can be coded out with apps like Protool or BimmerCode or you should not leave adapter connected (you only need adapter when using MHD app)

What do you guys think?

Yep, totally normal. I felt like an idiot when I asked Visconti what was up, lol. Didn't happen with my bimmercode adapter! Definitely happened with my MHD.
