No shit it’s math, but I wasn’t sure if that was the numbers you mentioned. it’s why I was asking if your numbers were the actual calculation from ratios or if it was what you were seeing while driving rpm vs the Speedo.
Calculation. Which would be what the car does in real life if you are using the OEM tires. This would align with accurate GPS. Not the gauge as that is off, as you know.

Ya a T56 is a popular swap for MKIVs as well, for the auto peeps moving over to 6 Speed. No one wants to pay $12k for a factory used v160

I believe you will need to swap the wiring harness which is not worth the effort.

The drive ratios of the 8AT are fantastic and the shifts are lightening fast. The 6MT suffers from horrible rev hang in the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
Skill issue? There is 0 rev hang on my 6MT.

I’ve done 4 track days in mine so far and would have noticed that for sure.
