Since there’s probably a 14- to 18-hour time difference between us,
it seems difficult to ask you to open an SSH connection via network guidance.

So, I’d like to wait and cheer you on until the final version, including the SSH Open Kit, is released

How many taps would it take for this to happen?
I’m asking because I want to understand the risk accurately—specifically, whether this could happen even during normal text input.

Personally haven't had it happen as I primarily use the touch screen and not the iDrive controller. Risk is very low imo.

Minimizing during the switch from normal to sport mode is a go!

Personally, I'm not a fan of them, but gestures working is pretty cool.

Went through and had @nanaisu help me get this running yesterday. You can follow the GitHub instructions which are honestly great but if you're a little special like yours truly I'll put a more idiot proof write up out there too.

Plan on testing the updates process at some point too which I'll document.

Overall this is basically a white glove service that I'm extremely grateful for. Huge QOL improvement.

Looks ok for now. A little laggy mybe, compared to original CarPlay, but will test it and play with settings later today.
