My Supra is set up to shut everything down when opening the door when I exit. Read the manual, it does help.

As a relatively new Owner of a '24 AT daily driver (December), here are a few thoughts on what I've learned and/or wished I had known from day one from the last 9 months/10,000 miles:

Wish I had bought my spare tire (Modern Spare) sooner instead of always being worried and then the drama of limping it home from 50 miles away with a nail in tire (month 3). Not happy about the loss of trunk storage space (or the cost) but the now achieved daily peace of mind is invaluable.

The tension of the car's "blind spots" disappeared after about 2 weeks of driving - after the lack of a spare, this was my biggest concern in buying it for a daily.

The aggravation of not being able to manually check my oil still persists weekly LOL - thought I would be over that by now.

I've learned (in month 5) do not park near anyone, especially a lifted truck (who cant see my roofline from their seat so they turn too sharp and scrape/crush my front left bumper) Unless I have zero choice, I dont park next to anyone anymore

Glad to report that the car makes me smile daily - unlike any other car I've ever owned. (months later, the pleasure of driving it has not diminished)

Power and electronics shut down about 6 or 7 minutes after you exit the car, whether you lock your doors or set your alarm. At that point only things on are the always on electronics.

I don't drive often, after I park the car and get out, the electronics stay on and eventually power down. I leave the car unlocked in my garage.
Or you can change the settings to power off when the last door is closed. That may not be the exact terminology but it’s something like that. We had tons of discussion about it years ago that can probably be easily found with a search. Or just use AI. 😉

I also have this set as well. That turns off the basic ICE like the gauge cluster and the infotainment screen, but does not turn off the rest of the electronics that power down after 6 minutes. For example, my dash cam is wired to an always on fuse and an accessory fuse, it does not power down until after 6 mins of the car being off.

According to the manual, page 40, when the car is in “idle state” it is switched off and all power consumers are deactivated. Also on page 40, the “turn off after door opening” setting establishes idle state when the door is opened.
Does the always on fuse you tapped into power anything else? The manual would seem to indicate no and if your dashcam wasn’t attached there would be no “power consumers” on that line. Still seems odd to have a line that stays active but no “power consumers” are on. All I know is everything I can see and hear turns off after I turn the car off and open the door, just like the manual says. And man, a German manual interpreted by a Japanese Company is hard to read😂. But who knows, perhaps some non-power consumers (whatever that means) remain active.

I forgot which fuse, but it's one of the basic ones like Window or something. Accessory components shut off or go idle after 7 minutes, so yeah most things shut off when the door is opened but a few stay on.

Before I found the answer on the forum, I once stayed in my garage to watch the dashcam light turn off after 6 minutes

All good tho, no battery drainage.

Makes sense. Something like a window circuit could stay on but not consume power unless actually used. Seems logical at least. I don’t know enough about how electrical systems work to know with any confidence though.

From personal experience, if you live someplace that isn't super rural / low-population, always book appointments for as early in the day as possible before taking the car to Toyota for anything. They only have maybe one "Supra certified tech" per location and if you end up just showing up, or you're 2nd in line, you might get stuck waiting several hours or having to leave and come back because another Supra got there first and is taking forever to get its issues sorted.
