A catted dp typically does not throw CEL. There are also a couple catless dp’s that do not throw the CEL. I have the catless armytrix on my ‘22, it uses an o2 sensor bung packed with “special” metals to trick the sensor, no CEL with it after a couple thousand miles. So that’s not going to be a good indication of wether or not it’s unlocked and tuned.

Not sure if you have a good view of that dp with your particular air intake but it’s easy to pull it out of the way - shine a light on your dp and post a pic. Somebody here can tell you if it’s catted or not and probably what brand it is too (if it’s not clearly marked).
I called titan motorsports, they weren’t to helpful as they stated they didn’t make DPs and more….

@Mr. Jonathan
Hard to see in the pic but I’m willing to bet it’s a catted dp. I’ve never seen a Titan one, maybe another member knows something about this. You can always get underneath and separate the exhaust from the dp. Just remove the band clamp and 1 hangar bolt and it will slide apart enough to look inside and confirm it’s catted.

I don't know what downpipe type though (cat'ed/cat-less).
A little google-fu, I see this (https://speedindustry.com/titan-motorsports-downpipe-a90-mkv-supra-gr-2020).. I suspect it's what you have. Catless downpipes have several ways of trying to fake the second 02 sensor. These guys seem to bend it out of the way of the flow of air. Others put a little mini cat in front. All are sort of half-measures that or hit/miss or fail over time.

If you're feeling guilty, the secondary market on the OEM downpipes are strong. And there's catted highflow pipes to be had as well.

I called titan motorsports, they weren’t to helpful as they stated they didn’t make DPs and more….
Interesting response. A mfg that won't answer reasonable and polite questions about an obsolete line is sign they do not stand behind their product. Too many zeros in these product prices and my car to trust them. Thanks for the share!

Hi 👋

We are new here. Forums have helped with more projects, across more vehicle makes, than I care to remember. …suspecting the Supra life will be no different!

We have a 20’ Launch (DP, filter, tune) and a 23’ MT CU, which we just picked up a few days ago.
Watching closely for the 23’ and MT mods to see where you all land. Down pipe and exhaust are on the short list. I’ve always been a “no-spacer” guy but now we’ve got two vehicles begging for a stance change (the 23’ and an old Cummins). Definitely tempted to space outward a bit.

Looking forward to learning from everyone!

Finally got to pick up my manual this morning! Had a 22 on order since sept last year and when they announced the manual I moved my order over. That was a long wait lol.
Congratulations Bruddah! Welcome aboard.
