I picked up my Supra last Friday evening and after all the paperwork was done they let me know it was too late to get a code from BMW to get Supra Connect operational.

I called yesterday and they said they are still trying to get a code from BMW. The dealership I bought from (Annapolis, MD) is a pretty big outfit, but has anyone else experienced this?

Also, they said I'll need to bring the car back in to set it up. Is this accurate? I already have a login to Supra Connect (because I own a BMW) but when I put in the VIN to register the car it says there's an error. I would think when they do whatever they need to do on their end I could just connect it myself?

Thanks...

You're not missing out on much, lol. However, you should be able to download the app and create an account, if the dealer didn't do it for you. Congrats on the new Supra!

Yeah, I know there's not much in the app but, my Nav isn't operational either... And as an Android user with no Android Auto, I'll likely use BMW navigation more than I have recently. Just seems odd the dealership seems so lost.

I've purchased 2 new Supras, each from a different dealership. Both times the salesman had me download Supra connect to, well connect, to my car.

Neither time it worked. But after a few weeks each time, it started working after putting in the VIN. Not sure if it requires a few weeks to activate or what. With that said, I've maybe used the app 2-3 times in my 2 years of ownership. It's nothing you're really missing out on, IMO.

Question from a new owner - trying to register car in the Supra connect app and get to the send code to car… when I check the connected services tab, I do not have a message tab… does it show up upon receiving a message so not always there or am I missing something? NAV is not working either so figure the dealership did not activate it during PDS…

It takes a while, similar to other BMWs
Mine took about 12 days for the App to send the code

Thanks! So the fact I do not have a message tab within the connected services tab is no big deal, it shows up when I actually have a message? Appreciate the response / help.

Yeah you'll get confirmation to check your connected drive message once Supra Connect app gets your email/VIN from Toyota
It will say services not available if you try to sign up but they haven't received your info yet
It's great just for the Remote lock feature if you're unsure and the ventilation timer

Supra connect took maybe 20minutes to do myself, the message showing up on the car was the only pause.

However, the navigation is something I've been waiting on for over a damn year to get activated after 4 visits and over 8 hours sitting in my dealers' waiting room. Still nothing

You've owned the car for over a year and your Nav still doesn't work? How is that possible?

Legends Toyota fucking sucks.

They keep telling me that it will auto update ia wifi when they haven't even got past the map activation code request. Another dealer offered to do it but, I don't want to have to pay for what shoukd have been done during PDI before the sale.

I used it maybe twice just to check the odo before hibernating the car. The horn takes forever to sound and when it does you regret you even sent the instruction cause the horn sounded like crap.

Since I got the new lower freq horn installed, I thought it'd be good revenge to get some nice horn sound coming from my garage for no reason.. ..only to find out that I have to re-pair the faking app to my car since they updated something. So haven't used it in 2022 yet..

The app is BS. Don't even bother with it if you don't have to.

Ok, so still no security code showing up in my car, but more alarming (and testing here) is under connected services from the main menu, I don’t have a concierge or message folders…. Is that normal or did my dealership forget something? Dropping a pic in here to show what I have…. Paranoid or an actual issue? Thanks!

I also don’t have the verification code that shows up on the Supra Connect screen of the infotainment. I don’t see a code pop up in “messages”, I’m the only owner of a 2023 3.0 premium
