Question for anybody with a tuned supra - does your car pass emissions testing here in NC? I'm specifically on MHD with a downpipe.

I know we can have one readiness monitor "Not Ready" and still be ok.

Let me know what your experience has been.

This is what my readiness looks like:

In NC, to the best of my knowledge. as long as you do not have a CEL, you'll pass emissions. That's it, nearly every aftermarket tuning company will code CEL out for downpipe, etc.

This was true for the first 3 years of ownership but most of the 2020 MY Supras are needing to start OBD testing which checks to see if the emissions component tests (readiness) have run and passed.

Yeah, I’m not sure then. I’ve owned tuned cars with catless downpipes since I’ve lived here and not one has failed inspection. Just had the Supra tested last week and passed, guy said they don’t touch the ODB port. Same with my GTI, the COBB app is plugged in 24x7.

I went for it. Passed with no issue. Interestingly, readiness monitors didn't appear on my printout like years past.

What county if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in Forsyth and wondering how inspection is gonna go this year.

Hey guys, work took me to Morehead City. Does anyone know any good mechanics in the area? Are there any supra owners nearby?

Just picked up a local supra that was traded in. It’s a 2020 Premium; I’m currently in Winston/Lexington

Calling any Supra's in the Raleigh area!

Who wants to get together for a Supra specific meet up or cruise?

What's up. I'm in Greenville, NC. Picked up a 2021 3.0 for $46k and only 17k miles in February.
Already had HKS adjustables, intake, and some carbon goodies. Have added a turboback Armytrix exhaust, jb4, new emblems, carbon front lip, front and rear braces, other goodies, and have a set of Work wheels in the garage ready to go on this weekend. I frequent Wilson, Raleigh, OBX, & Emerald Isle area for work.

Hopefully I'll see some of you guys around
