Add in one from my end - IDK if its a 2020 or not but I saw one two months ago (its on my IG @theweekendlad47) somewhere in Toronto. There’s two 2020 phantoms that I know of in Canada. One in Edmonton and one in montreal
What model year was it when you ordered yours? because it does show up for 2021sThat I don’t know. When I ordered mine my dealership said there was only 4 coming into Canada.
I have installed XPEL's Stealth PPF on the whole car, it is a MUST for any matte car imo. For matte paint you'll need to use matte wash solutions like CG Meticulous Matte Auto Wash for Crisp Satin & Matte Finishes. My main concern is upkeep.
Questions for all you guys who actually own Phantom?
How is the paint holding up?
Is it more work to keep up?
What special care is needed?
Anyone use Paint Protection Film and how did it turn out?
Would you buy it again?
Thanks.
The car will be a daily driver. Occasional scratches and swirls from washing or drying is a concern of mine.Yes I would buy it a again hands down. The first thing I did I had my body shop do a sample plate of my paint to make sure he can duplicate if any chips. But if u do get it wrapping the car on a clear wrap it’s the way to go less worrying about little chips or light scratches. Paint is going to stay looking good as long u maintain it. Go for it and get one.
yes complete different color, is a Matt Satin Grey with a hint of Blue said Toyota. Sometimes I see the hint of blue especially at night. Im just going to clear wrap mine don't want to risk it getting scratchedThe car will be a daily driver. Occasional scratches and swirls from washing or drying is a concern of mine.
How did the paint sample turn out? Where they able to duplicate the color, shade, tint, flake lay-out?
I have not seen Phantom in person. Is Phantom a totally different color and shade then Turbulence Gray?
No issuesJust dropped off to get XPEL Stealth on the entire car. Anyone else with XPEL Stealth have issues with the hood? The installer seemed really concerned about fitment. In any case here are my favorite pics so far.
The place that did mine managed to do the hood all in one piece and it came out flawlessJust dropped off to get XPEL Stealth on the entire car. Anyone else with XPEL Stealth have issues with the hood? The installer seemed really concerned about fitment. In any case here are my favorite pics so far.
It appears that not all brands offer large enough rolls to cover the entire hood. What brand of PPF? May I ask what coverage you got and what it cost? The place that did mine managed to do the hood all in one piece and it came out flawless
