Hi Guys,

Posted this in the wrong section before. Here are my results this was done in Australia/ I finally got a chance to take the car down the quarter mile. had consistent ET of around the 125MPH. Unfortunately the draggy vid was the slower run. Let me know your thoughts, surely with a better ET i can get in the 10's with that terminal speed.

Mods are custom E50 tune
exhaust
intake
very worn out 6 year old MT ET streets (pic included)

So close to the 10’s. Looks like traction is still your problem. But if you dead hook then expect an axle to snap.

I think you're a bit confused there. ET is the Elapsed Time. Your trap speed is.. well.. your trap speed. (mph when crossing the traps).

In anycase, this looks to be a casual test and tune night, were you trying to cut a light? If you were, don't. It seemed like the car wasn't even _close_ to getting into boost yet. I didn't see a squat in the car or anything.

As far as traction concerns, it doesn't seem that bad until around 200', maybe even the 330, hard to say, but you can absolutely get that 60' down without anything but driver mod.

What does the log look like? How much boost/timing did you leave on? How much fuel is in the tank? What were your tire pressures set at?

Good tip, ZRK. I cut 1.7’s on 555R2’s. I know it could be better. Even though I only do test n tune, I think I get caught up in just trying to beat the other car off the light instead of focusing on my own cars launch.

thanks for you post Zrk, no wasnt trying to beat the light, i had foot on the bake pedal revved to around the 2200 mark and then mashed the pedal, i saw your previous post in relation to drag racing and tried to emulate that.
the longer i have my foot on the brake and rev will i build more boost. was probably sitting there for around a second or two before i took off.

any tips would be appreciated

couple of logs below IAT's where up there

Oooof, running 14.6 AFR with that much boost? Good luck with that.

You would probably go faster with normal richer AFR for this level. It would probably clean up the timing.
What AFR do you think would be better?
so I can have a chat to the tuner.

I read that was the range since direct injected… not too concerning
Not with all that boost. It runs that AFR stock with much less boost/cylinder pressure. His tune is running +10 PSI up top compared to stock.

That lean AFR with that much boost is a recipe for a cracked ringland and/or melted piston.

Even the OTS maps from BM3 and MHD run mid 12 AFR.

Man, now you have me worried. last thing i want is to blow a motor or melt a piston, does running E50 matter?

I went back and looked at the original logs when the tune was done (below) and back then the AFR was 13.5

Was looking at my old tune from a different tuner who had major issues with throttle closures and they had the AFR's pegged at full load around 12.5
