I actually went to a motorcycle store and bought an Arai Regent-X. Super comfy helmet and I fit in the Supra with it on. Snell 2020 rated.

If your head fits nicely in the Arai then you might want to look at: Arai GP 5GW

This one can be used in 2 setups.

- closed screen in an open car
- open screen for in a normal car


The biggest gain is it has a very wide opening ideal for trackuse on cars.
It’s less claustrophobic and you see more if you need to see the gearleaver, gauges or ...

Bikehelmets usually have a small opening to withstand head/tarmac crashes.

But an Arai needs to suit your head.

And I’m 6.6 and i have TONS of headroom thanks to the extra low Cobra Suzuka which is mounted on the floor.
Even had to raise it abit as i wasn’t able to look over the dash anymore

Just another thing to consider, certain tracks require Snell SA2020 rating, not a Snell M2020 rating.

A track I once went to didn't allow a M2015 helmet because they required SA2015+.
M = motorcycle

It's not the track who has requirement. Mostly, it's organizer who requires "SA" only or "M" is OK as well. So it's best to contact organizer. just an FYI. M is for single impact and SA passes multi-impact. Auto-Racing Requires SA.

yea. i just use my Shoei RF1200 snell rated helmet. Worked great but is getting old and should be replaced. Time to find a really cool helmet.

Love that helmet. Used it for many miles riding my Gixxer. There's an RF-1400 now.

If you are going to complimentary NASA trackday, Toyota supplied helmets to rent it out for free to supra owners. So if you are unsure, ask your NASA region and see if they can reserve a size for you.

Toyota is putting a lot of money to promote GR cars, it looks like.

I have a few track days coming up in the Supra, and while trying on my helmet in the car, I noticed it's touching the roof. I can manage, but only just. Is there such a thing as a low profile helmet? If you're 6 foot 3 ish, and you've tracked your Supra, let me know what you used and how much room you had. Thanks!

For what it’s worth I just bought this:

I have wanted a good open face helmet for AX, my full face is a Snell 2015 so it’s still good for a few years. I have to say I really like the open face, it’s light, not as hot, and great visibility.
