I use the exact same tool. Are you sure the piston didn't come too far out and somehow got jammed going back in not perfectly straight?
It seems to be straight but it did come out quite a bit when I was turning it the opposite way at the engine torq screw area. Maybe I’ll undo it again and retry

Went to the left side for lunch today and did that bitch in under 20 min.

Came to realize that the internal spindle is broken and Probbaly has been broken for a while since my parking brake light has been flashing at me for months now.

Gonna order a replacement and maybe see if I can salvage this one

Hold on, you're parking brake light has been flashing at you for months? Didn't think to check on that before doing your rear brake pads?

I'd be so mad at myself lol. I guess it's mild OCD, but I can't stand any flashing lights or warnings for periods of time. I always try to fix it or get it fixed.

it happened after my car was completely dead and i tried to start it. Brakes and parking break worked fine. Just figured it was a faulty code.
