Idk if it's been asked before, if so, I apologize for my laziness and bad search skills.

Is there a way to prevent rocks from getting lodged in the wheel?

I finally had it happen. I let the wife take it for a quick errand. She was gone for a whole minute. I heard her from down the street coming back. It was horrible. The "rock" was actually a pebble the size of a small bean. I can't believe how small it was.

It would be nice to prevent. That was embarrassing.

Not a Corvette.
You mean in between the heat shield and rotor, not wheel.

You can bend the heat shields away from the rotor more to help reduce the possibility.

Yeah, the sound is horrific. I've had it occur in the Supra and nearly every BMW I have owned. You can try bending the shields a little but I find you just get bigger rocks in there.

Thank you! I will do that.

It was so loud and the thing was a pebble about the size of a pea
