What’s a good way of getting your rotors to not rust one car when sitting after washing

What I do is drive it alittle or move it around and apply the brakes after the wash. If I don’t, I get the small surface rust on the rotors like your describing....

I would say powder coat them, but I worry someone might actually do that.

Another reason why I only use QD to clean the car after a drive or use waterless wash if I drove through a puddle.

You can engine enamel spray (Dupli-color) the area the pads do not make contact.

I spray our cars brake discs with a 5% in water mix of Bilt Hamber Atom Mac. It’s a migratory corrosion inhibitor, and manages to keep the discs looking clean during and after washing, as well as in the rain. I also use it before applying the handbrake on our other car as it’s not used a lot, and the spray helps prevent brake binding.
