Seat warmers, how to tell they're off?

Recently changed out my seats to ones that don't have a heating option.

The button on the center console doesn't show if it's on/off and I honestly don't know if it matters if it's on/off, but I figure it'd be better if it was off?

Anyone know how to determine if it's on/off, or if it matters for the battery?

Just out of curiosity, did you swap the leather seats for the Alcantara seats?
Was it all plug and play? Any errors popped up?

Nope, got some recaros, and yeah errors popped up. Got them coded out via shop. A little pricey but I hate codes being thrown. ?

I'm still waiting to get the car, but from what I was told, the heating option is only for leather seats (I could be wrong).

There are three LEDs integrated into the button. The manual that comes with your car says that the seat warmer is off when all three LEDs are off.

When the seat warmer wiring harness is disconnected, there's no circuit and no battery drain.

Interesting. Alcantara seats in Australia are a cost option on our premium models, but come with heating.

Interesting. Alcantara seats in Australia are a cost option on our premium models, but come with heating.

I wonder if the car is pre-wired for this feature...
i.e.: If you buy a base model with Alcantara non heated in North America and swap for leather heated, if it will be plug and play with no error codes.

Alcantra seats (even base models) in 3.0L have heat in USA.

The 2.0L's do not and have the seat heater buttons blanked out, and the seats are manual adjustment.
