When my car was stock I think my 0-60 was 4.5. Quarter mile was 12.5@110. This is on 91 octane. All my testing is done on the street so my launches are never good. In current trim with catted dp, Injen evo intake and e50 tune my best 0-60 is 3.9 and best quarter mile is 11.99@123 mph. Needless to say launch is worse now.

Went to the drag strip yesterday. Best time 12.34 at 114 mph against strong 35 mph gusting winds on 91 octane.

Bone stock 21, stock tires at 30 psi, no glue on the track, grip was really hard to find in first 3 gears. Could have been better but Iā€™m happy with that result. I think 12 flat or 11.9X is definitely achievable by a stock 21 on a prepped track without facing 35 mph winds!

I'm using the Torque Pro android app. Most people write off these apps as bogus, but I think Torque is legitimate. It uses OBD data rather than just GPS. The speed, which is mostly what I am concerned with since that is what correlates to horsepower, is exactly the same as the car's digital readout. . It is also very repeatable. To get an idea as to accuracy I ran my wife's stock 2003 SL500 several times. Every run registered high 14's in the high 90's which is exactly what they run. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a 60 foot setting in Torque but from experience I know mine is mid 2 second. I didn't attempt to perfect a launch since I'm not interested in wearing out my tires or the rest of the drivetrain any more than necessary

Iā€™m curious to know what mods and power people are putting down to get 10s on the track. Obliviously tires and temps play a factor on the track, but inquiring minds would like to know.

Iā€™m assuming 500whp/600wtq might be enough to crack low 11s, potentially high 10s (possibly with stickier tire/ drag radials), but confirmation would be great.

Did you use launch control?
