Shift Lights?

I've searched here and elsewhere online and have not been able to find a definitive answer. I've seen mention of the tachometer flash at the redline but all the videos I've watched don't seem to behave this way. Can someone please confirm if the Mark V comes with some kind of built in shift light?

Thanks. I figured there would be video of it floating around the Internets if it was a thing. I'm waiting on an MT so hopefully Toyota/BMW get their shit together and add it to the 2023 model at least.

These light up? Surely they couldn't be too bright or noticeable? Is this a user setting? Hmm.. now I'm back to not being sure.. lol.

they are bright enough. but you should be looking through your next turn

after a short while you should be able to feel the 6xxx rpm fall off and learn shift by feel

Yes, those light up in sequence as the revs go up. And yes, they aren’t that noticeable unless you have the guts to be looking somewhat down while hammering it. As far as I know there is no setting in regards to them.

i get white bars fill up from the bottom too wonder if that's boost?

In the video they switched to manual (appears to have just pulled the paddle) while at moderate throttle. Meaning, they didn’t do anything to warrant the lights illuminating. I know there are videos that show them lighting up but they are within people reviewing the car and not specifically on the shift lights themselves.

Thanks mate. That's probably the only video in the entire world showing it. Interesting choice from Toyota to put it there. Looks cool but not sure you could really use it as a shift light. Thanks again!
