So I want to go back to OEM wheels (2021) and I'm wondering if I should powder coat them white or silver (or another color). Car is wrapped in Avery Satin Frozen Ocean right now, and is originally white underneath. Also my tires are 275 F and 295 R and I'm wondering if they might be too wide for the OEM wheels.

Thanks! :)

I like the combo you have right now, it could be a good wheel color to try and duplicate. Would work with white as well if the wrap comes off.

White - is interesting, not for me but if you like it you should do it. It's more about what you want than anyone else.

Tire size vs wheel size is a good thought, factory wheels are 9 and 10"? I don't know if they are "too big, can't work" but they are certainly pushing the limits on the high side. You may want to ask whatever place you plan to take things to for that job, assuming they know what they are doing.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback :)

Yeah, I kind of want to experiment with a lighter color in general and might even consider powder coating the current wheels a lighter silver. The white is something I always wanted to try as well. I know they generally work well with blue cars, but not sure how it would match with my wrap. I think the tires will be okay but hopefully the slight stretch won't look or feel too off.

White on white is very 90's and will look nostalgic on the right car/wheel combo.

Silver or dark silver gets my vote with your current wrap.

Have you considered a dark bronze with that Frozen Ocean? ?

Thanks for the input! Definitely leaning towards a bright gloss silver. Maybe even for the current wheels instead of going with the oem ?

Yeah, the white would be a more nostalgic JDM look.

And yes! Was considering something similar to the racing copper bronze color from the Advan GTs. The color would also look good if I ever go back to the original white car. But now I gotta figure out if I should powder coat the oem wheels or the current ones ?

Thanks for your feedback!

Since you still have the OEM wheels and they're not worth much anyway, I'd find a color that you like and powder coat those and run them for a bit to see if you like the color.
