Should the coolant fan immediately start on 3.0 mkv or does it need to reach certain temp?

Feel some slight oil on the bottom of my FTP boost pipe but noticed the fan does not start immediately. Get a hot engine alert after stopping a lot but relate that to JB4 tune.
should the fan start with the engine?

Start with engine? No, fan starts based on several inputs. Like the thermostat temp, HVAC unit condenser and other heat exchanger needs.

There may be something else going. Tune or not it should kick in to prevent overheating.

What's your oil level say? Did you check n top off fluids?

Do you see fan moving when AC is on? Your idle increasing?

When you start the car, it does not immediately come on. When you turn the AC on the fan does come on.
