Xtrons 14.9" for F3x does NOT work.

We must make sure that the LVDS port points towards the windshield.
I have the same LVDS issue with the XTrons unit I purchased, and I'm just waiting on a F30 replacement LVDS cable to try as they're colour coded the same as the Supra (which is supposed to matter...) but it's not angled the same way as the Supra's, and the side that connects to the headunit box itself in the dash is oriented correctly on the F30 cable. I assume they changed the orientation on our cars just to make routing easier as the dash area is pretty tight.

Anyway, once I get the cable I plan to test the cable to make sure the wiring is the same as the OEM one.

Yes, the color coding of the LVDS does matter. :) We can't use the teal cables. Has to be the maroon with the two extra hot/ground wires.

After thinking about this more, I might make an adapter plate/interposer that screws to the display body. Then using tiny M4 rivnuts, adapt the Supra's mount to the interposer. I could slot the bolt holes to get the alignment just right.

Edit: I believe it specifically has to be a 4+2-pin HSD LVDS with a Code D barrel key.

Yeah I just targeted F30 compatible and made sure that, visually, it looked right. I'm going to check the pins before I try it, if need be, I'll be cutting and soldering - I'm in too deep now...
