Hi everyone,

I wanted to share my custom Stage 2 6MT tune for anyone having issues with MHD OTS maps on a 6MT.

The goal of this tune is to give anyone starting a base file to work from, especially if you want to start tuning your own car without having to go through the entire learning curve from scratch. It can also be used as a safe starting point for further customization.

Over the last three months, I have made more than 50 revisions, testing, and tuning different things. The 91 octane tune was tested on 95 RON with a VP octane booster.

I would expect this tune to perform better on US 93 octane. For reference, this tune runs with less timing than the MHD Stage 2 91 map, but more boost, so overall 60–130 performance should be similar.

Estimated Power and 100–200 km/h Times

Map 1:

Estimated 400 hp
100–200 km/h: 9.2–9.8 seconds

Map 2:
Estimated 440 hp
100–200 km/h: 8.5–9.0 seconds

Map 3:
Estimated 480 hp
100–200 km/h: 7.87–8.2 seconds

Map 4:
Estimated 525 hp
100–200 km/h: around 8.0 seconds

The horsepower estimates are based on torque actual clutch values from datalogs converted to horsepower, and they also match Razorlab virtual dyno results. That said, I would expect these numbers to be higher than a real dyno by up to around 10%.

For comparison, the 100–200 km/h times are around 0.5–0.6 seconds quicker on the M30 tune, with the fastest run being 7.25 seconds.

Although this tune is intended to be a safe starting point and can potentially be used like an OTS map, you are still responsible for datalogging and dialing in your own timing corrections, fuel trims, base WGDC, and rail pressure.

Tune Changes

  • Enabled MHD+ features, including knock cell, boost ceiling, base WGDC, and PID.
  • Disabled torque limiters and cold start.
  • Raised all OEM boost set limits and boost ceiling values.
  • Raised all torque limiters to 1000 Nm and 1000 kW for simplicity.
  • Torque request set to 750 Nm, with MHD max torque set per map between 600–750 Nm.
  • Raised all load limiters to 327% for simplicity.
  • Global max load and max load spool tables are set per map between 160–240.
  • Boost ceiling raised to a maximum of 22.5 psi on all maps except Map 4, which is set to 25 psi.
  • Boost is mainly limited by max load and torque limit.
  • Adjusted throttle mapping for smoother driving, including matching overrun tables.
  • Adjusted MAF ceiling and floor to prevent diagnostic codes.
  • Adjusted fuel targets for both M30 and pump gas.
  • Adjusted HPFP and EKP settings for higher fuel demand on the M30 map only.
  • Adjusted coolant tables and fan PWM.
  • Adjusted intercooler pump flow for maximum performance.
  • Timing tables have been adjusted and smoothed to reduce knock correction and improve drivability.
  • Partial-load WGDC and WGDC during blow-off have been adjusted to help prevent overboost during upshifts.
  • Extended the performance display proportionally.
Recommended MHD Flasher Settings

  • Disable cold start
  • Aftermarket downpipe
  • Cooling: Track or Sport mode
  • Intercooler: Sport mode
  • Remove top speed limiter
  • Set exhaust flap to 2 using the BC button
Known Issues

  • Choppy boost curve on high boost maps.
  • 11A030 low-pressure fuel system / electric fuel pump adaptation code on M30 tune.

dumb question, but if you have a hi flow catted/catless, it's perfectly fine to disable cold start?

i assume you still cant just start your car and drive away straight away?

i assume you still cant just start your car and drive away straight away?
For catless its fine, im always late to work so i just turn on the car and put it in reverse.

for catted exhaust the point of cold start is it heat up the cat so it start working immediately, basically to reduce emissions with the engine cold, and in general you dont want to cause a thermal shock to cat as you might crack the material.

driving away with cold cat is probably fine as long as you dont rev it or put load on the engine, but not recommended.
