So I looked up R35 ?Yes, I remember when the R35 first came out, and it was around same price of Supra now. My dreams of having one in the fleet are slowly pulling away. Granted they did make a lot of updates to transmission to make it better, it's still really climbing in process year over year.

At least the Z is priced more appropriately in the land down underEverything's like this.![]()
I did one of those lapping sessions with exotic cars in Vegas and did 5 laps in a GTR, and IMO, it wasn't as fun as the Supra, or even the Corvette or 911 GT3 that I also lapped that day. You can definitely feel the weight as you said, and between the AWD and all the computerization, it doesn't feel like you as the driver need to do much at all. I felt quite disconnected actually. The Nissan GT-R however, is even more expensive than ever and not getting any lighter. I feel even luckier/happier to be in this torque happy, decent weight, fun to drive Supra!
I honestly thought going from a MX5 and dedicated track S2K the Supra would have the Nissan GTR feel for me. However I was pleasantly surprised. The Supra feels fantastic! She hides her 3300lbs wellI did one of those lapping sessions with exotic cars in Vegas and did 5 laps in a GTR, and IMO, it wasn't as fun as the Supra, or even the Corvette or 911 GT3 that I also lapped that day. My new daily driver right there! ? ?
Coming from 4 Miatas statements like these make me feel better as I wait for my 2023 to arriveI honestly thought going from a MX5 and dedicated track S2K the Supra would have the Nissan GTR feel for me. However I was pleasantly surprised. The Supra feels fantastic! She hides her 3300lbs well
Promise yourself you’ll track her and you definitely won’t be sorry. Ofc, nothing beats a 2200 pound ND in the corners. This Supra is damn close however. Then add to the fact her monster torque, balance, stunning ability on edge... Toyota really made this Z4 Supra everything BMW should have done in a modern M car. Their loss, our gain. Toyota’s 5 year reign in LeMans is paying dividends.Coming from 4 Miatas statements like these make me feel better as I wait for my 2023 to arrive![]()
It feels light and nimble, very similar in weight to the 911.2 GT3. I got a ride in a friend's 981 Cayman GT4 and I felt it harder to notice the 400 pound difference between the Supra and GT4 than it was to feel the similar weight difference between the Supra and GTR.I honestly thought going from a MX5 and dedicated track S2K the Supra would have the Nissan GTR feel for me. I really think Toyota did a good job choosing the closest to a dedicated sports car chassis that BMW offers. Every other M car is still built off a sedan platform, which comes with the compromise of higher center of gravity, and it really shows.Promise yourself you’ll track her and you definitely won’t be sorry.
