Hi guys! Our first official thread on the forum...

We're excited to announce our main project car this year is a 2020 Tungsten Silver MK5 Supra. After working on a few MK5 Supras last year prepping them for SEMA, we got the chance to drive a few of them, and we couldn't be more enthusiastic how well the car is built and it's performance capabilities/potential!

Stay Tuned to this thread as we show the progression from Stock to Global Time Attack Street Class.

To start off, here is Episode 1 of many for our YouTube Series of the build:

We were able to throw down a 2:00.039 on stock suspension, stock brakes, and stock tires. On stock suspension, I like to drive with a passenger since the car isn't corner-balanced. There is a vast difference in ride/suspension reaction with and without a passenger. Fortunately, in clockwise orientation, the passenger weight helps a lot in most of the high speed right-handers.

Since the video below was recorded a couple months ago, we've upgraded with:
  • Winmax W6 front brake pads
  • Eibach springs
  • Yokohama A052 tires
  • 18x10.7 Titan-7 TS5 wheels
  • OEM BMW Z4 strut reinforcement bars
  • Motorsport Hardware spacers
  • EVS Fenders w/black wrap accent
  • Prototype downpipe (will release more info once we're allowed to)
  • Injen Intake
  • Injen chargepipe
  • VF-Engineering Stage 2 tune
  • AMS Performance dry carbon anti-wind buffeting (it was horrendous on-track/mandatory windows down before we put these on)
  • Our own StudioRSR 4-point Rollbar (Version 1)
  • Verus Engineering diff cooler
  • Verus Engineering rear diffuser

Episode 2 of our YouTube Series is up!
Finally broke into the sub-2 minute lap times at Buttonwillow CW13 with a 1:56.56 during our first session of the day before it got up to the high 90's mid-day. This being only the 2nd day at the track (1st day with the mods/upgrades), we can't believe how much potential the car's got left.

Jerel, the owner of the @supramk5 page on Instagram, tracked with us all day, and during the last session, we had a blast swapping cars. Check out the End of the Video to see our comparisons between our 2 different sets of mods/setups!

Nice times and build. What's up with your Yelp reviews though?

Thanks for the kind words.
Regarding our Yelp reviews, most of our happy customers are too busy, like most of us, enjoying their cars/roll cages to write extensive positive reviews.

We were extremely understaffed in the last 1.5years, but thanks to those happy, although quiet, customers who keep us running, we've now grown to the point to be able to afford going from 2 people making cages to 6, and 1 person in customer service to 4! Even so, we weren't perfect, yet, some of the reviews (especially the long ones) are fictitiously exaggerated.

With our continuing growth, we're also now doubling-down to sponsor forums for all the different kinds of cars we like to work with, and we hope you give us a try in the near future.

Noticed you have one of the best Porsche ever made :D We also have a 997.1 C2S that we were tracking heavily before the Supra :drive:

Great and clean build. Love the EVS fenders!!
How are you able to fit those wheels with no coilovers?

Thank you sir! Very nice!! That's how they should be ran, on the track. The goldilocks of the 911. ;) It's a never ending debate and now the new topic is what is better, .1 or .2? Mezger or 9A1 DFI? Porsche owners always find something to argue about. What a bunch of snobs.

I need Aerokit, Getty, Tequipment and E88's in my life. I still think this is one of the sexiest builds I've seen.

That's great to hear and glad you've got things under control. I've had my fair share of shops come and gone since the 90's. Not to sound like a broken record but situations that I've read about customers ordering parts, shops taking payment and then ghosting the customer is what kills shops, esp in Socal. You can have an extensive resume of fab and worked on the most exotic cars but customers are shops bread and butter. Limited resources, poor time management and lies are all excuses. Good luck and keep up with the build. :drive:

Great comparisons and analysis on both setups. I'm shocked you were able to do that many consecutive laps without issues with the trans or TCS. Makes me realize how amazing it was for Jackie Ding to run a 1:50 flat on square 275 AO52's and 450hp. Awesome video guys, definitely looking forward to more

Thank you! The EVS fenders are awesome. One of the favorite parts on the car.
We're barely able to fit these wheels and the A052's with 15mm spacers. When we say "fit", it barely does...like paperthin. We took the wheels off after the first session to check for marks from tire deflection, but they were good
