2020 A90 Supra (Time Attack) (Street/Modified)
Last weekend was the first competition event for the new PRR/IMS Supra! GTA Finals is hosted at Buttonwillow Raceway (13CW), and is one of the US's big go-to events for the fastest time attack cars around. Our car is in Street class (200TW Yokohama tires, mild aero, bolt-ons). With barely any development time, and a completely stock engine and turbo, we finished 4th in class with a 1:48.1, a time that would have won and set a class record last year.

The event went as good, if not better, then we could have hoped.

The long version of the story is more detailed. First, it starts on September 29th, the first day we started actually working on the car. That gave us almost exactly a month and a half to get the car to a point where it could be competitive, which, really, isn't enough. Our first test day was a throwaway, since the EDC cancellers didn't work. So that gave us one test day at the wrong track (and with no aero) and a second test day at Buttonwillow with a "completed" car, but only 1 week before the competition and no chance to test anything else. At that test, we did a 1:49.1.

Then at GTA, we found another full second of time in aero and ECU tuning. Amir in his NSX, Shawn in his Evo9, and Jackie in his A90 absolutely outdid themselves, despite battling issues, and all put themselves under the previous record. Congrats on the podium and the incredible achievement, guys!!! Hopefully our car can give you a run for your money next year.

We may not have had the time, but we absolutely had the support. In no particular order:

@jjchen819: Part owner and did like, 2/3rds of the work on the car, sometimes alone.
@indotech_motorsports: Part owner, provided parts, work, references, and support.
@2_andtheleave_francis: Always came in to help on the car, and track support at the tests and competition. Sorry we almost killed you ?
@snapon.dennis: Always came in to help on the car, track support, and some killer tools.
@that1kiddap2: Track support and doing some rad video work while Nik was in the car.
@kitx0rzz Bringing us dinner at the shop, breakfast at the track, taking photos, and trying to keep Nik sane ❤
Nik's dad, for showing up Saturday night to support.
@g_stream_ for the incredible wing, AND coming to the track Saturday night with extra goodies to help us get that 48.
@afecontrol for the adjustable sway bars in a pinch.
@counterspacegarage for the excellent brake pads, engine tuning (like, 4 different times at the track), and support.
@kw_suspension for the killer shocks that stood up to us almost doubling the spring rates, with room to spare.
@splparts for the awesome arms and links, and over the phone support.
@stoptech for the excellent brake kit and support.
@osktools for the care package of hand tools and for supporting the project from the beginning.
And @thedeadslow for letting us use your incredible shop as a home base!
