Hey guys, my supra got hit today by someone while I was parked, pretty bummed about it.

It looks pretty bad but looking up close it seems as if it just needs a new bumper and a new headlight.

Any idea how long these take to get ordered from toyota?

Also, How would this affect the resale value?
Nothing got damaged except the bumper and the headlights, so no internal wiring or frame damage at all.

Im just curious because I loved driving this car and seeing if anyone else has had any similar experiences.

Sorry to see.

My cars have been hit (and kicked, key'ed) in parking lots many times through my lifetime while parked.. even rammed by a UPS truck. So yeah, I know how it feels like and why I don't usually park my hobby cars in parking lots unless for taking pictures in vacant lots or something. If your Supra is your dd and have a Ferrari as your hobby car, more to ya.

Ouch. One of the reasons I always park in the back of the lot and just walk far.

I guess it can still get hit in the back of the lot, but it just seems less likely.

RIP sorry to hear bro. This is Rei from Discord. I'd call your local toyota dealership for an ETA on the bumper and headlight. But I made a quote to give you a rough idea on numbers. I don't see the car on different angles so I'm only guessing with internals and some brackets/sensor pieces.

Parts to be replaced: F bumper, side parking sensor unit, side parking sensor bracket, side parking sensor ring, LeftF bumper bracket, LeftF bumper retainer, F bumper absorber, LeftF headlight.

Roughly $3900~ parts, labor, paint. All tax rates and such are taken from PA's pov. No blend paint time on the surrounding areas was added since we aren't doing work on the a panel like fenders.

All of which are coming as OEM. I left out the left front reflector, and the left front side spoiler (your left front lip) since these are aftermarket. This should give you a rough idea on what you're looking at if you were to get it done at a collision center.

Or, you can park on an end spot at the pickleball parking lot, next to your wife, and…

Same as others said, took a couple weeks start to finish.

Same thing… some hillbilly in a 10 year old beater Toundra (a Toyota, no less…?) backed in to my baby. $CDN 4,000, the shop did an amazing job of fixing/painting. Took 5 days once they started, waited 2 weeks to get it in the (very busy) dealer’s shop.

Of course, sometimes you park far away from any vehicles, and when you return, some are parked on the sides and front and rear of your car. That is highly frustrating.

lol. Just a car. Hell, her Wrangler was significantly more than what I paid for the Supra. Still can’t wrap my head around that. Two stick axles from the 1940s and a wheezy NA six…

I think the law allows you to remove the faktards' wheels and place them on their hoods and roofs. Or just roll them across the parking lot into a ditch. :dunno:

okay maybe not.

However, I don’t think there’s a law preventing you from giving their door handle the ol’ hawk tuah, if you feel so inclined.
