Just curious... did you ceramic coat them? Makes it far easier to keep clean if they are.

Couldn't you powder coat these a different color? Unless you just didn't really dig the TE37s.

Powder coating Rays Volk Racing products tends to be frowned upon.

You’re better off selling them and just getting the color you ultimately prefer. Or a different model all together.

I’m also on team “Don’t aftermarket-powdercoat forged wheels”…

Which is funny because the paint they use is complete shit. Its thin and soft.

My white 37s are already chipped after 6 months of use, a few track days, and 5k miles. They are gonna need to be resprayed at some point in the future. Great wheels, crappy paint.

I dont understand peoples obsession with judging what you do to the parts you own. Its just paint and its just a set of wheels. I had someone come up to me at the track asking why would I run them for a track day.

They are racing wheels and are geared for track use. I run TE37s on my Supra as daily beaters, and people have given me shit for that as well. Don’t worry about pleasing people (not that you are).

I personally do not suggest aftermarket-powder coating forged wheels. There is no hard data readily available, but various respectable members in the forged wheel industry have stated it greatly weakens the strength of the wheel. If you must change the color, get them painted.
