TE37 Tyres

Hey everyone

Got some TE37s coming in:

2X 19" x 9.5" (ET 22)
2x 19" x 10.5" (ET 35)


I'v got Eibach Euro Spring fitted (20mm drop) and wondered if the following tyre combo would be okay:

275/35/19
295/35/19

Will be fine. I run that tire size in front and 305/35 in rear.

Following as I've got a set showing up this week too. Was planning on the same 275/35 and 295/35 in ECS02 or PS4S. Is the sidewall stretch similar front to back in those sizes? Mathematically they should be as it's the same tire to rim width front and back but sometimes it doesn't work that way

The sidewalls on the rears are slightly taller, so you'll see a tiny bit of rake, but nothing crazy. This is a common tire size we see folks run on our wheels in the same sizing.

Following as I've got a set showing up this week too. Was planning on the same 275/35 and 295/35 in ECS02 or PS4S. Is the sidewall stretch similar front to back in those sizes? Mathematically they should be as it's the same tire to rim width front and back but sometimes it doesn't work that way

Visually, the stretch should be about the same front to rear with this setup. It's usually just 295s on 11-inch wide wheels that start to look stretched out back compared to 275 on a 9.5-inch wheel up front.

Thanks for the reply and advice, much appreciated. Since this is your area of expertise, what do you reckon would be the perfect tyre size setup for these size rims on the Supra?

I had the same spec, You'll love the 305/35 on the rear but 295/35 isnt a big difference depends on what tires you want to push for.
I ran 265/35 front but I've seen 275/35 fronts

I don't know if perfect is the right way to put it, but personally I am a big fan of doing the 275/35-19 and 295/35-19 as it maintains a similar stagger to the OEM (255 / 275) tire setup just wider!

Doh.....after placing my last comment, ended up looking at the Apex Supra wheel and fitment guide and read that for your ML-10RT which are 9.5" and 10.5", you recommend 265/35-19 front and 295/30-19 rear.

Might cancel my tyre order and go with 275/35-19 and 295/35-19 like you suggested :0)

Got mine installed today. PS4S in 275/35 and 295/35. As was mentioned since the sidewall is a little taller on the rear there is a little more stretch in the back vs the front. Probably 265/35 would stretch it enough to match the 295/35 rear if that is important to you. I wanted to match the increase in width front and back so I went with the 275s.

I also put 12mm spacers on the rear to get a bit of poke (had them lying around), might drop it to a 7 as it is a bit aggressive, but who knows for now it looks great and no rub at stock height.

if the wheels were supra spec no spacers would make it perfect flush unless u wanted the poke look lol

Well not exactly. While they are 'supra spec' when you run the numbers the fronts move an extra 5mm further out than the rears vs OEM wheels

9 +32 > 9.5 +22 = outside edge is 16mm further
10 +40 > 10.5 +35 = outside edge is 11mm further

So to technically have them match the OEM placement in the fenders the rear needs an extra 5mm spacer (front has moved out farther than the rears). The SLs come with a slightly lower offset in the front, most aftermarket supra spec wheels usually have a +25 front on a 9.5 so the fronts are a little further out. But anyways, I just had the 12's sitting here and I did fit them up without and since there's a touch of stretch on the rears they were a bit sunken vs the front so the spacers went on
