The 2021 News Really Bums Me Out / Buyer's Remorse

An idea just crossed my mind...

For any 2020 owners who want the 2021 cylinder head (and exhaust manifold) but wants to save a buck... Wouldn't it be possible to just use the older B58 cylinder head and manifold. It seems to be unchanged between B58B30M0 and B58B30M1.

I.e. from a 2016-2019 340i, 440i, 540i, 640i or 740i

The heads are different, the valvetrain is different, and the headgasket is different so this would be a rather difficult swap just to save a buck.

I'm with you on the new blue color. My downshift blue is my preference.

I suspect the 2.0 will actually be a bit more expensive than $40K tho. Toyota has a big investment in these with BMW...they need to recoup. I'm thinking $42K-43K. 2020 3.0 MSRP will drop a bit.

Looks like 2021 is going to be delayed a few months. This should of been expected by most due to covid19. Magna is shutdown and looks like they had 400 built so far. Wonder if these were a91 editions or just regular 3.0. Also it looks like production on 2.0 hasn’t even started.

So hold on, they want the 2020 owners to come back to buy a 2021 and what? Trade in our 2020 and lose money so they can make even more money off us us? Is he out of is stupid mind?

Another 6 months later, the 2022 is announced and there another 30-50hp increase or better interior. Then the original 2020 owners will be even more pissed of bc they traded their 2020 for a 2021 and lost money... its like a infinite cycle. Lol

And he then compares our cars to a RAV4?! He needs just to shut his mouth while he is ahead.

Well, actually they did... they just didn't use those exact words... hence the click-bait headline. It's not like it was a stretch considering the actual words used by Toyota (specifically Jack Hollis) itself.
