Thank you for all these updates. So I guess eu price will be around 55k euro, for a almost 400hp car with that weight that would be fine.

Edit: I hope it has more power than the euro z4 ... if not the ecu tuning is essential

I'm guessing those are prices before the bells and whistles?

Egh, I honestly have got the impression that (for the US) the cars are all pretty much loaded, at least the I6...

Throw back to to A80 lol.

Just conjecture at this point though. I haven't heard or seen enough to make a judgment or solid statement on that.

$20k is a big jump. I hope thar is the alpha or else toyota is going to shy a lot of customers.

Nah, the GRMN is far more than that.

---------------------------------------------------------------

The I6 is $5k cheaper than the Z4, and it's sold out for a year abroad already, so for now they're good to go.

They may need to drop price when production stabilizes (2020+), but only if folks stop paying. But for now, it's selling itself as Tada said it would.

I can see why now when toyota said they want everyone to have a supra. 40k is cheap for an iconic sports car.

Talk about diluting your products, toyota.

For me, the GRMN alpha car is a non-issue. They're going to come in at a pricepoint (and of such limited quantity) the only place they'll exist is the internet, Dubai, and that one annoying dentist I see at Cars n Coffee. Not my garage.

A70.
Could the supra be one of the reason why Lexus had to come out with the RCF track edition?

It may have been a factor, but a small part of the equation if so IMO.

A70, assuming the GR spec car isn't using an entirely different drive-train (hybrid powered or something), wouldn't it be a better/cheaper option to just modify the I6 non-GR Supra and bring the performance levels close to the GR version? Or is the GRMN too special?

Well, I think that's the real issue.

Will it be like Toyota selling a 2JZGE and you can NA-T for way less vs the TT, or is this going to be different enough to be considered a different car like an RC350 vs RC-F.

That said, the regular B58 is pretty damn potent so who knows.

(unfortunately I don't know all and much less than I used to)

Already is discontinued (MY2017 was it), but yes. They made that ugly thing instead of the S16 Silvia or iDX, and it sold awfully in the U.S. (the market where all the money comes from) after an initial push from millenials. So now they have replaced it with the arguably even worse Nissan Kicks.

Though to be fair, the Juke sells well in EU and AU.
