I got an HKS hi-power dual system for my BRZ for $700 new... Why does the MKV system need to be $2500+. Liked the HKS quality and everything fit perfectly but that's a full set of track wheels + tires near about.

Don't like knockoff parts much but the exhaust pricing for all the major brands is preying on "supra tax" too much.
The Supra Tax is just as bad as the corvette tax and sadly I’ve experienced both… first world problems IG

Ended up deciding to pull the trigger and purchase this exhaust w/ burnt tips through @NitroYellowMKV for a great price! Super excited for delivery and to get it installed. Can update back with additional sound clips

I'd love to hear the results when someone resonators, especially high end ones from Vibrant. Anyone who ordered one of these plan to do this in the short term? I've seen a few "will add resonators eventually".

Pretty sold on Fi or Magnaflow, but saving $2k might shift me away from keeping valves.

Out of all the systems, the Magnaflow is the one that made me spit out my drink when I saw the price. Especially because Magnaflow used to be quite affordable, and I've had their exhausts fail in rather short order on multiple vehicles over the years. No thanks.

I’m going to see how bad I feel the drone is once I get it installed. If I consider it to be unbearable then I’ll definitely look for resonators asap

I am ordering the exhaust today and will be ordering resonators before it arrives. My only concern is the large Vibrants really don’t seem like they’ll fit so I might start small with their bottle option. I welcome anyone’s ideas as far as a pair of nice resonators to grab up for when the exhaust arrives.

Edit 3-27-23: The EOS exhaust is not 3.5 inch piping like their website states so the above link was for the wrong product. Retrying on 3 inch diameter and 12 in length bottles.

@NitroYellowMKV what resonators did you install again on your actual AWE touring? Were they the same size or larger than the AWE ones.

Trying to eliminate that 80mph / 8th gear resonance.

Larger they were the 9” vibrant vs awe using a 7” variant

Does anyone have sound clips of this exhaust on the stock downpipe? I don't think I've seen anyone post that.

I'm guessing it probably wouldn't drone with the stock downpipe either.

Can anyone confirm if I'll need to buy the valve simulator plug like what comes with the AWE's? Or can I just put some electrical tape over the OEM valve plug and zip tie it away from everything with no CEL? Heard people talking about pulling the fuse that controls the valve but thought that's only necessary if you're running stock exhaust.

@SupraBH i pulled my fuse a while ago and it’s fine… I wouldn’t mind throwing a plug in the end of the plug, It’s just kind of dangling there. If anybody knows of a plug, let us know.

I believe AWE sells their simulator plugs separately for like $60 but you have to reach out to them. I also saw another one from GrimmSpeed for $45 but don't believe it's confirmed to fit our cars or not.

Sounds pretty good OP!

Are there any axlebacks or reasonably priced catbacks that do work with the stock exhaust valve?
