Hi,

I've bought my first 2020 Toyota GR Supra from Copart. It's Salvage Title and needeed some repair and 12k was really good amount to buy it.

When Supra arrived in my country i've found out that previous owner removed ECU from car. As i've seen he's in florida called Gilbert Ruiz (Now i'm trying to connect this dude).

So... I've visited my local dealership and checked that ecu's are available only from Tokyo and it'll take 3 month to be here because it has to be same vin and esp code otherwise it'll not crank.and i'm curious if they'll send me unlocked one which my car was produced with or locked one after 2021 ? any info ?

is there any other soultion for this case ?

Any response will be helpful

I honestly doubt the guy still has the ECU. Likely sold to someone who wanted to clone theirs for ecutek or other.
No information on what Toyota will send you. At least you got a great price.

Yea you might be SOL on the fact that you don’t have the original ECU. The only way you could get it to crank is by having Toyota upload the file onto the ECU. I would ask Toyota if you can bring your own ECU or do you need to buy it from them
