Just wanted to know if it's normal waiting that long to hear back from a tuner that's all

No it isn't normal for anyone worth their salt.

At a minimum they should have informed customers of any delay prior to an event causing a delay.

I've had 7 cars tuned and most revise withing a few days. My last was through HRI and James M. did them live while I was on the phone via ecutek. Once issues were dialed in the tweaking was a matter of 15 minutes including uploading/emailing the files.

Counter Space, Moto East, Delicious Tuning, AMS, Visconti, Lucky 7, and MKC all usually take a day or so to get back to you. Closed on weekends, holidays and nothing aloutside of business hours. But. Even still all would bother to respond and didn't leave me for weeks.

I had an issue like that with my prior tuner, his name rhymes with gain ?

sent a couple logs out, was told he’d get back to me, never did. Sent a couple of follow up emails, never got anything back.

Got tired of the non responsiveness, switched tuners and went with Zach out CSG, since he’s local, and have heard fabulous things about him.

Zach always gets back same day, and will always inform you of any delays and i appreciate that.

Have a friend that paid for a custom tune from a known tuner that’s quickly falling off the map. He’s been waiting for over a year and all he has to show is a base map. My friend is scared to continue asking for his tune to be completed due to the fact the tuner has a lot of control of how the car will perform. Now most of the response in here are accurate due to TX2K but a whole year of ghosting a client is unreal. Also this tuner didn’t attend TX2K this year. Tuner has came up with excuses after excuses about his health being in and out of the hospitals etc. Then all of a sudden he’s on his IG live feed drinking and talking about car and tunes with a few of his friends. We’ve joined this live feed and asked several times with the reference of a ticket number and now the excuse is their system was down. Tbh there were several people that joined the live feed and mentioned that they paid for a custom tune and yet to even get a base tune.

Hint: this tuner wasn’t at TX2K this year.

Just change tuners..... it's simple. Can't get a refund.

In this case a chargeback seems appropriate. Then find a new tuner.

Charge back and refund was considered but it’s been too long to dispute with credit card company. Lesson learn, don’t be intimidated it’s ok to ask before it’s too late.

I would check back once a week for the next few weeks and he doesn’t respond then dispute your charges, get a refund and move on to a different tuner.
