I actually have not noticed any slipping the clutch seems solid tbh
That's one of the details that really slowed the MT adaptation process down, as Toyota was quite set on providing a clutch assembly that handled moderate power gains in stride.

I'm sure we'll find the limits soon enough though...

Thought it'd be worth sharing this here. I have a buddy with an A91-MT that recently got tuned on BM3 pushing 500WHP and 610Ft-lb. He is still on stock clutch without any issues so far. Looks like the OEM clutch should be able to handle quite a bit of power so hopefully this becomes the tendency as we start seeing more manuals get tuned.

I’m also interested in his mods. I’m looking to get to 500-550 ish whp. I’m Femto unlocked and FBO. Butt dyno reads 450? Going to get on actual dyno tomorrow.

Same as any auto Supra pushing 500whp. Downpipe and a bit of meth cuz E85 isn't easy to find in Puerto Rico. He might have an intake too but that's just mostly for the sweet turbo noises.

You should be able to hit the 500 with just a downpipe and E30-50 blend or good 93 gas but that also depend on the dyno your on. I wouldn't try to get the 550 personally because the DI would be too maxed out at that point and that could cause it to lean out at the top end in some cases. At that point I'd look into PI to supplement or and intake with PI depending on your use. Even with 104oct and aiming for the 550 the DI would still be too maxed out for my liking but could be good for you again depending on your use.

Thank you for that info. I just picked up a brand new 2023 premium 3.0 M/T over the weekend (UNDER MSRP!) and looking to plan out an upgrade path for it and was wondering how much the M/T clutch and pressure plate can handle.

I just spoke with a guy named Justin from East Coast Supras to map out a power upgrade path. But when I told him it's a M/T he told me that cloning the ECU is currently not available for the M/T cars. So that extremely limits what can be done to the car.
He said though he would call some of his contacts and get more info to me.

**EDIT** Forgot to mention that on the way home from the dealership, a baby deer ran out and hit me! I did everything to avoid it (swerve and hard braking - even though the car is still in break-in period) but ultimately it collided with me. Thankfully it's relatively minor damages. The damages are the front spoiler is scratched, the front bumper is chipped in a couple spots, the passenger headlight is cracked, and the passenger front fender is dented in a few spots and the hood has a small chip.
Just depressing that this had to happen to a car of this caliber.
I have 5 other cars and I've never been hit by a deer, much less on the way home from the dealership. Maybe it was karma from me milking the shit out of them.

The deer belongs to the dealer. They'll make the money back now to fix it.

A bit of an update on my friend's tuned A91-MT (500WHP 610Ft-Lb). He got the chance to go to the drag strip this weekend and the clutch started to slip on the top end. The car is not on the grippiest tires either so with radials it might start slipping even sooner. For now it looks like 550Ft-lb might be a better target for the stock clutch until someone else is able to give more data.

Any suggestions on clutch upgrades or still too soon?

Still too soon, I’ve been trying to get updates and information on clutch kit upgrades through pure drivetrain solutions and other agencies. I’m 530whp and 597lbs torx

How’d your buddy do at the track? Do you know his numbers. 1/4, 60ft and trap speed?
