Unlocking and Tuning my 2022 ECU with Visconti Tuning and Femto

So I have a 2023 Surpa MT on order this being my first Supra and I was wondering what is the benefit to cloning the ECU compared to just benching the ECU?

Femto reached out to me and let me know they do in fact have an unlock option for the manual Supra, but at this time it cannot be cloned. I recommend reaching out to them on instagram, they are super nice and answer lots of questions.

You’re SOL. Manual Supra has ZERO tuning options as of now. It uses a newer ecu than the auto supras, so no known clones work.

I don’t think Femto officially supports it yet either.

FYI I think Femto unlock solution is available for the MT, just not the clone service as of yet. I didn’t ask specifically which tuning chips are supported with their unlock, but I would reach out and ask before updating your website.

Don't mean to hijack but seeing as a few very knowledgeable folks are in this thread it wouldn't hurt to ask. I have a manual as well and was wondering if anyone has heard anything from EcuTek regarding RaceROM being available with just unlock? With BM3 making CustomROM available through unlock I am curious to see if EcuTek steps up their game as well.

I have not heard anything, but ProTuningFreaks is really stepping up their game with software and hardware.....right now your best bet is BM3 CustomROM.

Completely agree it's just that since I already own the Ecutek hardware from a BRZ I had, I didn't want to go through the hassle of selling the stuff to switch to a different tuning platform.
