OK, first, thanks for the help. Next, believe it or not, but having bought the car used in January of this year, I inexplicably thought that the 36/36000 warranty had expired. To my surprise, after doing some checking, I found that not only was the car still under warranty, but it was due to expire on 5/22/2024...or tomorrow! I hurriedly made an appointment with my local Toyota dealership and drove it there. I'm assuming that since I checked the car one day before the warranty expires, any work will be done under warranty. I did advise the tech who checked me in of the warranty expiration date. Any thoughts?

Thanks. That’s next on my list.
If you get this message on your screen, you need a navigation map update. All Toyota dealers should have this bulletin, and the update is downloaded to the dealer's computers and then to a 64 GB thumb drive, which is then used to upload the update to your car.

As long as you brought the car in and they checked it in the day BEFORE it expires you are good and yes any repairs needed will be covered under the new vehicle warranty as long as there is a mechanical failure.
