I always have loved the effect that stiffer motor mounts have on my previous cars, but I'm not sure if it's worth $400 and a 4+ hour install. I think I'll wait for other people to install them and report back on the effect it had on noise and feel.

This install doesn't seem too terrible. Plus, it's nice to see that Versus made the first video for this kind of job on the Supra. Should help lots of people out.

I may swing for this.

I suppose it's good that Motor Mount and Downpipe Day was cancelled yesterday. I'm not sure whether to keep these Doteki 65D mounts or use the Verus 90A mounts. The Verus mounts look significantly more substantial. I'm curious why they are using the A scale rather than D to rate their bushings. Are they truly a softer subber rather than a poly or poly-like material? I assumed these would be a hard plastic rather than a malleable rubber.

Probably because shore A is the most illustrative in this application. There is crossover on A and D, and it's not by material. As you can see from this chart, the shore ratings of these bushings are quite hard. Just as an example, you can buy polyurethane compounds that are 35A. Materials softer than 50D tend to just use the A scale for precision.

Would you happen to know where stock motor mounts fit in this scale?

Also, what color gummi bear?
