Waze voice alerts through Carplay

I've read through a few threads on here and saw conflicting information so looking for a consensus. When I'm using Waze through Carplay in the Supra, notifications like "Police Ahead" only pop up on the screen with no audible warning. It seems like some people have this issue, others don't, other's do only when not navigating. In my other car, Carplay audibly calls out the hazards so it's not the settings on my phone.

Is everyone else getting audible alerts?

It's been working for me. Check your Waze settings, you might not have sound settings on "All alerts" or its equivalent.

Thanks to the OP for posting the question.The lack of audible alerts thru Carplay has almost got me a ticket several times. Most interested if someone has a solution.
