ripped off the old body colored door garnishes and replaced with carbon fiber. but more importantly, got my dream wheels on!! absolutely loving it (disregard the inch of dirt and bug guts, just got back from a road trip)

What door garnishes did you go with? Do they fit perfectly?

Testing Launch Control

But it didn’t launch ? ?

I found 2 new buttons today. One on the dash, bottom left corner. Resets the odo. Found another on the auto shifter. Didn’t know I’m suppose to press it when going into reverse. Maybe I’m doing that and didn’t even know it ?‍ Which got me looking at this:



No. 5 in the video is Zack’s launch control? Damn that’s a lot of work to take off. But with his power, I’d be burning rubber and going nowhere (or smashing things) fer sure…

I fit more than that for track days. Def a game of Tetris!

I took my car to get the Seibon front lip reinstalled .
It did not fit well . Sigh
The first time I didn’t remove the bumper, the second I had a body shop install it.
The front fits quite well, the sides not so much.

Wasn’t to terrible, there is one bolt that faces the wrong direction, but if you use a ratching dog bone wrench and it was not bad. I didn’t have any figment issue. Took me about 2 hours for the first one and 1 hour for the second, I took my time with the first one.

I’m sure insurance will cover it, still a pita. Also now I’m out the $250 I paid to get ceramic tint which I am positive insurance will not be covering.

~ I went through the same thing on a prior MB coupe I owned. I was fortunate enough that my optometrist provided me with a written doctors note stating my eyes were light sensitive and required a lightly tinted front windshield. The insurance company stepped up with this note and covered the retinting of the replacement windshield.
