Took about 3 weekends...too busy with work

Isn’t there an airbag behind that pillar?

Yes. Enjoyed each moment. A good and balanced sportscar. Better than the press gives it. a brilliant and fun drive with a nice touch of economy as well. A nice package in this day.
I drove a 2.0 for a week before I bought a 3.0 ?

Yup, bumper stays on. My car is still stock but I had no issue crawling under it.
Timing couldn’t be better. I was about to do this tonight or tomorrow morning. I’ve read you can pop them out from the outside with a pry tool. If going with your method, can it be done without raising the car at all?

I tried getting them out from the outside but the plastic pry tools I had wouldn’t grab it.

I was able to do everything with the car on the ground.

Thanks man! What all mods do you have done?
I have a CES Motorsport catless downpipe and an MST intake with turbo inlet pipe. The intake doesn't actually add any power on these cars, it's simply to get rid of the silencing materials in the stock airbox so that you can hear the turbo induction noises better. I also have a Fuel-it Ethanol Analyzer that I installed so that I can use the Fuel-it app to check my Ethanol mixture to ensure it's as close to E40 as possible.

After trying to get my title for months from them for my i3 I just went to the ohio title office and got a duplicate. Did they do a wire transfer on the spot or just promise a check "eventually?"

I also had three different temp tags (oh, then az, then nv) before they sent out the registration lol.

Their prices are tempting but I'm worried they'd send a check for the wrong amount or something lol.

I purchased the 3D Maxpider floor mats. Although the WeatherTech’s are of better quality (I have those in my Jeep), I opted the the Maxpider as they’re more sleek (IMO) for the MKV.

I also ordered the FTP-Speed GR logo’s that are used to replace the WeatherTech logo’s. Fortunately the logos were also large enough to cover the 3D Maxpider logos.

After popping off the rear rivets, I used some black silicone for application (if that doesn’t workout long term I’ll use RTV or maybe resin).

* Heads up on the FTP-Speed GR emblems, the quality and color isnt consistent across all three. Not a huge issue because they’re floor mats, but thought you should know for those who play close attention to details.

Looking good on her last day. I, too, washed my previous car right before Carvana picked it up, but I think I skipped the tire dressing.

You're trading up to a B58 M240i, right? I might've missed it in another thread, but do you think you'd have kept the Supra if you'd gone with the 3.0?

Yes M240i and either a Alpine or M4 once back in Germany in 2 weeks. The Supra was a US spec model and I would not have moved it back. The rear instability of the 3.0 to me is something that needs addressing. It has a balance issue with that. That was so apparent in the Auto-Cross we attended in San Diego when I was there.

I might test a 3.0 in Germany at home but a true lightweight sportscar I have been missing. The Alpine is interesting - but I have a fight on my hands with a woman who likes sportscars as much as I do and desires the M4. Its good that she has a job lol :) The M4 would be nice as a cross country machine visiting her family in Budapest.

For all the jokes and fun ridicule the 2.0 gets, its superb machine. Happy to drive it each time. Looks fantastic. Excellent balance and power overall. The 3.0 gets to a given speed slightly faster but the interior etc is minimal different. Same factory top speed etc. Savings over initial cost and fuel efficiency is nice.

Again its nice balanced package but people have optics on torque as the end all of the experience when comparing the 2. The 2.0 is the smarter car, the 3.0 simply faster and a visceral feeling for alot of drivers. In the US given the driving and speed laws the 2.0 is probably the best solution and how much power do you need to be doing 74mph on cruize control lol :) The 18inch wheels provide an amazing comfortable ride as well. For a daily fun driver if we were staying longer in the US, I would have retained it.
