They already talk about it in a BMW chat group I’m in. “Why are all the Supras at the top of the leaderboard?” Lol And it’s happening in WRL. Talks about these Supra being incredibly competitive from the get go⚡?

Glad you’re enjoying her @kaj I can’t wait till next October to push this car even more.

Kudos to both of ya brother! RA is such a fun track ?. I think this Supra is perfect for the class it‘s in. But I would hate to be the other (cars) drivers ?
I'm honestly waiting for them to bump our cars up to B2. In B3, I'm only allowed a 200 treadwear tire. Other than the stuff that's allowed in all classes, camber plates, brake pads, brake fluid, I haven't touched the car. People keep coming out up to me and asking what I have done to the car. They're pretty upset and I don't think they believe me when I say it's on stock power. I've even had people make snide comments about my fuel containers. They don't believe that I'm bringing in pump gas because I'm too cheap to buy it at the racetrack. They think it's e85. I always invite them to go smell it for themselves, but nobody ever does.

I can't help that Toyota built a better BMW than BMW.

Went racing on a closed airstrip vs. a '23 M2 Manual and a '23 Z Manual. Surprising, I beat them both easily from a dig. Watch for the video release on Sam Carlegion's Youtube Channel.

Saw the video earlier today. I don't know man. The M2's shifting was suspect. I never get in my 2023 A91 6MT and think I'm faster than the new M2s. The S58 is an absolute monster!

Seen other videos and they are about the same in acceleration due to weight. On the track though, the Supra is an absolute monster! ?

That’s hilarious ? Nice to hear the conformation of the same thing I’ve been saying. It’s no exaggeration. I even took my Supra rug one weekend and wore my “Is that a Supra?” shirt for fun. Because there is so many questions about what I did to the car ? The ones that don’t ask, assume it’s severely modded out when I go and talk to them. I do have a catless downpipe which does make her even quicker and I’m on 100 treadwear tires. But the other Supra guys, same thing. We’re all stock and hauling arse! It’s really amazing for the price ❤ Glad you’re enjoying her brother.

TBH the shifting in the M2 could have been better with a driver mod. But, even so I think the Supra had the M2 from a dig. Also interestingly, the M2 didnt have secondary cats.

"It's a BMW, not a real Supra!" But then also, "It shouldn't be in with the other BMW class level!" Rofl people are stupid.

It's not a "real" Supra, it's a BMW, but when it's a BMW, that's beating other BMWs, it's not fair!! Good job out there man, make our people proud haha

This car tends to make people very butthurt at the track. A brand new M5 Competition showed up during my first track day with the Supra. He was very mouthy about his car, but on the track he got embarrassed several times by me, a C6 Z06, and a lightly modified STi. He ended up leaving for the day just after his 3rd session when it became very obvious he was one of the slowest drivers in the group (we all lapped him in 25 minutes).

What I have found over my years of tracking is that the track is the great humbler. I do enjoy watching people come out with their 600whp street cars and then get passed by a 92whp Miata with half its body panels crumpled.

I really want to do an aftermarket DP to let the car breathe and reduce heat... Plus, I'd like to hear the car better. ...But it would bump me up a class.
I'll have to settle for an exhaust. ?

Funny you should mention that. Someone in the advanced group that day had some tuned and modified Dodge Redeye Demon Widebody Hellcat MOPAR Hemi Whatever TF running Hoosiers and 1000+ HP. I was watching him duke it out with a clapped out Spec Miata.

Every single lap you'd see the Miata come out of the last turn clean, then several seconds later the Dodge would come out in a big smokey mess and manage to pass the Miata on the straight (Thompson has a nice long straight). The funny thing was the Miata would outbrake it in Turn 1 by a couple hundred feet and then lead the lap again. ?
