Took it in for its last free oil change and found out that I have the dreaded leaky transmission seal. They say they can have it all fixed up tomorrow. I guess we shall see. Must admit that this is the first real issue I've had with the car. Hopefully it's not the start of a trend

Track day on Toyota's dime at BW was fun.

Today, finally got the Driveway Labs trunk button installed. Install was harder than I expected for being otherwise straightforward. Removing the rear bumper was sketchy as shit. Very handy to finally have done though!

man, that's a quality of life mod that I really need to do. removing the rear bumper and everything sounds like a PITA, but with as much as I open the trunk this would sure be nice to have.

Does that kit still require you to unlock the car first? Or did they find a way to get it to respond to proximity of the key fob?

No proximity / “unlock” capability from the button. It’s basically a second interior trunk open switch so it only responds when the car is unlocked. It’s still a great improvement from stock because I store all my work stuff in the trunk and just need to train myself to touch the door handles on way to trunk. Way easier than fishing my key out of my work bag to unlock.

I think I need to add a blade/trim in carbon like some M BMW's have to tie it into the other scoops.

Love it or hate it... I installed underglow LEDs on my Supra. Cheap eBay kit turned out way better than I expected

Unfortunately down here it's illegal to drive with it on so it'll be for track, meets and the occasional photoshoot only.
