Finally did a software update. Now I can install my seat and send the ECU out to Femto. Still have to recode everything which I am not looking forward to since its a combo of XHP, Protool and Bimmer code....
What all did you code in? I've got a number of things from Bimmercode, but curious what XHP and Protool offers otherwise that I'm not aware of...Finally did a software update. XHP is the trans tune. 100% worth it for us auto guys. Nothing you can use with a manual. What all did you code in? I've got a number of things from Bimmercode, but curious what XHP and Protool offers otherwise that I'm not aware of...
I love xHP. You can also get it custom tuned. After JB4 fuel pressure upgrade, it shifts like a shotgun blast in sport mode. Wakes you the hell up.Shifts quicker in manual or automatic and the shift points last longer. When not rowing through the gears, in automatic normal/ comfort mode, the car doesnāt bog down (shift so quickly) to higher gears at low speeds. Itās fantastic!
Side note: anyone else notice odd spacing & question marks on your older post and/or sentences chopped off - after the SupraMKV cloud strike (gate) when many of us couldnāt logon for about a week? Iām finally getting through all the notifications (only 23 to go - for another day) and seeing a lot of my responses around that time not making sense at the end. At least more than my usual not making sense
Iām guessing it was when I couldnāt log back in during the middle of a post/response?!?
Can you report back any noticeable changes the updates have made to your driving experience please? Finally did a software update. Now I can install my seat and send the ECU out to Femto. Ya I can. Probably wont drive the car until late next week, so you are going to have to wait a bit. Also to note, this isnt the most up to date operating system. There are 3 more ahead of it. This one was released Nov 2024. There was another one Janurary, March and the most recent one in May.Can you report back any noticeable changes the updates have made to your driving experience please?
Cool. Appreciate it. And just as an aside, why did you choose to not update to the latest version?Ya I can. Probably wont drive the car until late next week, so you are going to have to wait a bit. I am hoping that this operating system is the one right before the start stop feature became impossible to turn off / code out.Cool. Appreciate it. And just as an aside, why did you choose to not update to the latest version?
Its not. My car was built January 2024 and came with the update that means you cant code out the auto start/stop (unless you use xHP)I am hoping that this operating system is the one right before the start stop feature became impossible to turn off / code out.
Ah. I see. While my start/stop is coded out, I hardly ever have my car in comfort mode as I have coded it to start in Sport mode - which I believe you can still do even after the start/stop firmware change.I am hoping that this operating system is the one right before the start stop feature became impossible to turn off / code out.
Yes you can still code "start in sport" with the update that disables the ability to code out another start/stop.Ah. I see. You run XHP so why care?I am hoping that this operating system is the one right before the start stop feature became impossible to turn off / code out.
