What did you do to your Supra today?

I previously ran the Verus rear diffuser and while it did a decent job, the whole bottom-rear end of the Supra could really be improved in terms of drag and downforce. I recently posted the rear bumper cut and today I modified a new diffuser that has about 50% more surface area for air to attach to (vs the Verus). I've CAD designed a bracket that's still in queue to be CNC'd, but if things go as planned, this new setup will be lighter than the Verus diffuser by about a few lbs while reducing more drag providing additional downforce.

I got aero consultation from JFK Aero a little over a year ago before I ordered parts. Obviously regarding the A90, but specifically class limitations on aero, adding/removing what's allowed in said class and optimizing from there. There's so much nuance to what can make aero work properly, whether the weight added, drag is worth the downforce, and so on and so forth.

I had a pretty basic knowledge of how aero functioned like most of us, but I found tons of value from the consultation. Mostly from debunking repeated misinformation on the internet... like how people seem to repeat how diffusers are not useful and actually harmful without running a full floor. Untrue. The diffuser needs to be setup correctly for it's application. Most classes that are "street" do not allow a full floor, but allow front aero and rear aero typically within 3"-5" inches of OEM body line. Considering that, a rear diffuser is still very much useful without a full floor, but it needs to be positioned correctly.

Without a full floor however, you won't get max benefit, which is why I opted to get a larger rear diffuser last in my setup.

Finally ordered the trim piece that has the button to toggle heated steering. Hands are no longer toasty after a long 8 or so months!

It's been a long couple months of traveling for work, and I think I've got a couple month break.

Side note for anyone trying to replace this trim piece:
- Remove the airbag
- Remove the paddle shifters, behind them is a screw
- unscrew that and the trim should pop out easily
You don't need to take the wheel off. Don't overcomplicate it like I did.

I also discovered the buttons in my wheel aren't OEM valeo. Tempted to swap my OEM valeo in there to see if they're plug and play

Both are multi-media controls. China wheels have an impressive amount of engineering put in them.

Undo the screws that hold together the fender liner at the top of the front fender well and then pull them back. It gives you a ton more room to swing out the original shock and swing the new one back into place.

Also for a starting point on the locking collar positions, my front springs were 6" and I had around 18 threads showing from the bottom. I can't find what my rears were but they were definitely higher than that. It's a bit easier to lower the locking collars than it is to raise them but on initial install it's not too bad either way since they aren't bound up by debris yet.

I believe the manual says every 40k miles for the plugs... no idea on coils. I'm MHD Stage 2 tuned, heavy into autocross about to do my second track day. Plugs were an easy decision, and since I had to remove the coils to change the plugs, just figured I would do it all at once.

70+ track days, 600whp+, original coils. No reason to change them unless you are having issues, although I do understand preventative maintenance.

Spark plugs are maintenance items not the coils. Wait til one coil goes out and you can change them all out the same time if you like.
