Oh come on, you drive a mid-engine V8 on the track and you're telling me a little 3.0L 6 caught you out?
The c8 stays so planted it’s honestly boring. Can’t lose control even if you tried. However our light back ends can become loose if you don’t respect it, which I didn’t

I bet it is. I haven't had the pleasure of driving one on the track yet. On the street it's fantastic and I can only imagine well how it does when pushing it around a closed course. I'm only about 3hrs from NCM and visit it regularly. I just need to shell out the dough and take one of their C8's out.

Whoever calibrated the lane keeping assist should be shot.

That’s great! Let us know which car is best on and off the track.

From what I've seen and experienced, the threshold of grip is far higher with mid and rear engine cars, but the leeway beyond that before it all goes to hell is far less. It's basically why I want a Lotus, 911 GT3, or GT4 to complement the Supra one day.

Yes in cornering you can use the weight transfer to flip you around through turns easily. But the snap oversteer can be an issue if you haven’t as much track time, it’s a little different than our cars. But if you’re mindful of where the weight distribution is at at all times then it’s easy peasy.. tooooo easyy ?

It was a bit unnerving the time I took a 911 GT3 around a track. I felt like I was sliding out of my seat and the instructor was casually telling me, "Yeah it's got more to give"

Mostly drive in sport mode with safety features on. If I’m going for a longer drive I’ll put it in normal. And when I wanna have fun I’ll turn off safety features and switch to manual.
Does the safety features alter with performance?

Does the safety features alter with performance?
Not sure what you're exactly asking, so here's a couple of similar questions and answers:

Does having the safety features ON alter performance?
In a sense, yes. Traction and stability control will cut power if they detect a slide to regain control of the car. Advanced drivers will turn these off on the racetrack for better lap times.

Does sport mode deactivate any safety features on its own?
No. It will leave traction control and stability control active. On a side note, if you use Bimmercode to activate sport+ mode, it will switch to stability control only as a side effect.

Will manual mode deactivate any safety features on its own?
No.
