Does anyone know if only the launch editions will get the red interior?

Is there any reason to believe it can be ordered for the 2nd model year?

Having one interior color option is such a major negative for me.

Could be possible Canada got choice between red or black leather for white and black

i may, depending on the price. order a red interior after the fact. if its too pricey, i'll have my upholstery specialist handle the color change for me.

It boggles my mind why Toyota is offering such a limited interior color selection. In fact right now in the US they aren't offering any selection at all once the launch editions are spoken for.

Have you looked at the C8 interior choices? Now that's options.

You can’t even choose a different wheel, or even a different color... the car is literally meant to be custom modded by the owners. They should of done something like mini or vette and give some choices to Make cars more unique to the owners

Maybe getting a feel of the market. Dont want to invest everything all at once. The a80 did end production because of bad sales. Itd be bad for them if they invested more but didnt get the return on it.

They've already invested the money into making a red interior, though. They're just not letting us have it, unless you get a Launch, or live in Canada.

Which on the one hand is all the more perplexing, but on the other hand would logically seem to indicate we'll be able to order it in the future.

I feel like if Toyota allows red interior to Non-LE owners. It would make many LE owners upset. Because what would make our car unique compare to other supra? the red mirror caps? LOL They need to justify the extra 2k for the LE over premium somehow.

Already allowing it in Canada so clearly Toyota isn't concerned.

Well, be glad you had the option. For the UK launch edition, only the first 24 in Grey have the red interior. The rest of us get black. So yeah, pretty peeved about that, there is no reason they could not have made it an option for all the launch editions. Still, we don't even get the launch number on the car, just a piece of paper confirming its an LE.

C'mon Toyota. The cars are made in the same factory, why is there inconsistency across the globe?

My comment was more in regards to the variety of c8 options vs the limited options of the supra.

I wouldn't say red and black leather is a variety.

I agree, but it's more of a variety than, you know, just black

I dont even know why the US got fucked. Every other country got black or red option. And many countries arent even able to sell over MSRP.
