xhp failed during flash

So trying out the xhp and it keeps coming up as operation failed. Anyone get this before? Trying to do map 2. I have the MHD adapter, car in diagnostic mode, ac off, doors closed, phone settings are in airplane and wifi is on / connected to the MHD adapter. No response from support yet.

*Edit, found a solution.

Apparently I needed a battery boosted attached and once I started over, it worked.

It’s been a while since I flashed but remember having similar issues. Try disabling Apple car play (if using). I seem to remember it kept connecting even during airplane mode and caused problems.

Yeah it’s screwed up. Something about turning Wi-Fi off then back on..?

I did and it didn't work. After browsing around on bimmercode forums, apparently the fix was attach a car booster to it while flashing. This worked.

Now to figure out what settings will work for me for daily driving. I already enabled the stop/go at 2nd gear and that's already been a charm. Shiftmaps in D-mode to neutral and S-mode to stortive are all I've done so we'll see how things go

dumb question, but is "car booster" the same as a trickle charger?
