So many options for modification with the new Supra. What are your top 5 mods?
Here's mine. Note: I generally don't do any powertrain mods until near end of warranty.
#1) Radar detector/dash cam mount. 100% necessary. Driving without a dector is like walking around naked. I've been a Valentine One owner for over 25 years.
#2) Bass Port + acoustic insulation + coding changes. This is the great mod posted by Tadda and it makes a huge difference in audio. As part of this, I disabled the ASD along with a bunch of other coding (which I count as part of this mod).
#3) Mirror Airflow Deflectors. Yes, the Supra has terrible buffeting with the windows open. Yes, every review points this out and dings the design. And yes, you can solve this super-easy. I choose carbon fiber to match the mirror covers.
#4) Mud flaps. One drive through a muddy puddle, and the value of these becomes clear. They're subtle, and work great.
#5) BIllet strut tower braces. The stock braces on the 2021 are an embarassment on this car. They look like cheap parts for an Ikea hi-chair. Sure, they work. They're just so out of place on an otherwise magnificent car. The replacement struts don't work any better, are heavier, and otherwise add nothing. But, they make me happy.
